CHRISTIAN PICCOLO
Nato a Montebelluna nel 1977. Dopo la laurea in Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia, con il massimo dei voti, inizia l’attività di designer e interior design. Ha indirizzato la sua ricerca plastica verso un linguaggio formale che potremmo definire minimalista e razionale. La sua espressione è infatti ridotta all’essenzialità; è puramente astratta, oggettiva e libera da decorazioni superficiali. Christian Piccolo privilegia lo studio incentrato sulle possibilità spaziali offerte dalla forma pura. Nel “dimensionare” i lavori prende come punto di riferimento il possibile rapporto tra questi e l’uomo, visto che l’essere umano si rapporta al mondo attraverso la misura del proprio corpo. Per far questo segue precisi rapporti matematici avvalendosi della sezione aurea. La sezione aurea è un rapporto di numeri, molto particolare, che incontriamo ovunque e che contribuisce alla bellezza di tutto ciò che ci circonda. Per Christian Piccolo il design è una disciplina per trovare, grazie alla creatività, un utilizzo alle forme. Come già detto, i suoi progetti sono frutto di un’attenta analisi della geometria, alla linearità e purezza del prodotto in modo tale da renderli eleganti, in modo che non stufino nel tempo, e che non disturbino lo scenario che li circonda.Gli piace creare da materiali grezzi degli oggetti eleganti geometrici e semplici. L’approccio alle aziende con cui collaborara o dovrà collaborare è cercare di capire la loro filosofia e i bisogni dei consumatori finali; in seguito cerca di trovare per i suoi progetti l’alchimia perfetta fra il massimo rigore e la funzionalità. Comincia l’attività professionale disegnando i suoi primi prodotti in Ceramica per la Certrè Remeggio Fashion House. In seguito collabora con Linea Light Group per la quale oltre a firmare alcuni prodotti, collabora anche per la ricerca di nuovi materiali. Nel 2008 fonda il suo studio, Christian Piccolo Design che si occupa oltre che di Industrial Design anche di Design Consultant, Interior Design. Oggi Christian Piccolo lavora con: Remeggio Fashion House, LInea Light Group, Mastella design, MM Lampadari, Zava, Cuproom, Marchea, Torremato, Feltrin Arredamenti metallici, Vetrarti group, Stylnove Ceramiche, Stocco. Ha partecipato alle più importanti fiere internazionali: ISaloni salone del Mobile (Milano), Cersaie (Bologna), ISH (Frankfurth), Abitare il Tempo (Verona), Macef (MIlano) Light&Building (Frankfurth) Maison&Object (Parigi). Premiato all’YOUNG&DESIGN2011 con menzione speciale.
